When John Sibley Williams, co-editor of The Inflectionist Review, emailed me this summer with an invitation to be the "Featured Poet" in the next issue of his journal, my initial reaction was huge surprise, followed by gratitude. Over the next several months, that initial feeling of surprise has endured, and I hope it never fades. The October 2021 issue has just gone live. I'm startled--and honored--to be included here alongside so many amazing poets, and I absolutely love the work of Megan Merchant, the "Featured Artist" for the issue.
Eight of my poems are featured, including the title poem of my forthcoming chapbook from Tolsun Books. And here's the most mind-blowing part: the issue includes an interview on my poetic process. I am extremely grateful to John and co-editor Anatoly Molotkov for their vote of confidence in my work. I have long admired their journal and it's thrilling that so many of my poems have found a home there.
